How to find us
If you are approaching from the north, please follow A1 motorway towards Rome, and if you are travelling from the south, take the A1 motorway towards Milan.
Leave the A1 motorway at the Firenze-Impruneta exit. You will immediately come to a roundabout. Take the first exit, following the sign to Siena. Continue along this dual-carriageway towards Siena for about 20 km. Leave this road at the San Donato in Poggio exit. Turn left and follow the sign to San Donato. Drive along this road (the S.P. 101) for 2 kms and you will arrive at San Donato.
As you approach San Donato the main road curves left. Keep on this road and don’t enter the village. Follow the sign for Castellina. After 300m you will pass a church on your right. Drive on a further 600 metres and take the third right, along via Boccaccio.
After about 50 metres the road veers sharply left climbing the hill, continue along via Boccaccio keeping to the right. When you reach the park (with a basket ball pitch) veer left into via Brunetto Latini. After 120 metres take the second road on the right (the first road is a car park), where you will see the sign “La Compagnia del Chianti” and the start of a gravel track. Follow this track for 80 meters and on your left you will see a green gate: you have arrived at La Compagnia del Chianti!
N.B. Some sat navs cannot find San Donato in Poggio. If that happens please enter “Tavarnelle Val di Pesa”, the name of the bigger village nearby.
Reservation and Cancellation Policy
BY DEPOSIT: A 30% booking deposit is required to confirm your stay. Payment can be made by bank transfer. Cancellations can be made up to 30 days in advance of the arrival date. In case of late cancellations (less than 30 days) the booking deposit will be retained. In case of cancellation within less than 7 days prior to the expected arrival date or in case of No-Show the whole stay will be charged.

This information is required only to guarantee bookings. We reserve the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival. All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card that is valid throughout the entire stay. No amount will be charged in advance as payment is settled at the end of the stay, except for late cancellations where penalty fees must be charged. In case of cancellation within less than 30 days prior to the expected arrival date 30% will be retained. In case of cancellation within less than 7 days prior to the expected arrival date or in case of No-Show the whole stay will be charged.
